Avraham Borshevsky was born in 1970 in Korosten, Ukraine and grew up in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg). He received his artistic education at the Architecture department of the Leningrad Institute of Civil Engineering. Mr. Borshevsky became a professional Torah scribe and an expert of Jewish Scribal Arts at Jerusalemite Shvut Ami Rabbinical College.

The problem is that only a few civilizations have reached the level of cultural development which would allow them understand and value the art of calligraphy. This art can by right be referred to as elite art. Only a mature and highly-developed society can perceive the entire magnificence of this art.
